CASAU (Catholic Schools Association Union of Tanzania) is the national coordinating body for all Catholic schools in Tanzania. We represent over 450 schools from primary to secondary level, spanning all 26 regions of the country.
Our mandate is to ensure that Catholic schools maintain their distinctive identity while delivering world-class education that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century — grounded in faith, excellence, and service.

CASAU Founded
Established by Catholic missionaries and the Tanzania Episcopal Conference to coordinate Catholic education in Tanganyika, with 12 founding member schools.
Post-Independence Expansion
Successfully adapted to Tanzania's new education policies post-independence while maintaining Catholic identity and expanding to 80+ schools across the country.
National Curriculum Integration
CASAU schools formally integrated into the national curriculum framework while preserving Catholic values and moral education as core pillars.
National Recognition
Officially recognized by the Government of Tanzania as the national coordinating body for Catholic school administration and advocacy.
Teacher Development Program
Launched the CASAU Teacher Professional Development Program, training over 5,000 educators in modern pedagogical methods and Catholic education principles.
Digital Transformation Begins
First digital systems introduced for school management, communication, and resource sharing — connecting Catholic schools across all 26 regions.
Dinestan Partnership
Strategic partnership with Dinestan Education Systems to provide comprehensive school management software to all CASAU member institutions.
CASAU Digital Platform Launch
CurrentLaunch of the comprehensive national digital platform connecting 450+ member schools, 12,000 educators, and 180,000 students across Tanzania.
